A week celebration of ‘National Pharmacovigilance Week’ on theme “Pharmacovigilance: A Step Towards Patient Safety”

School of Pharmacy, RK University organized A week celebration of ‘National Pharmacovigilance Week’ on theme “Pharmacovigilance: A Step Towards Patient Safety” between 17th -23rd September, 2021 suggested by The Indian Pharmacopeia Commission (IPC) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to regularly update the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP). It further promotes rational use of generic medicines by publishing National Formulary of India.

Students are Engaged, Explored and Evaluated in this A week celebration of Pharmacovigilance and grab the opportunity of learning on topics Patients safety in hospital, Current scenario of PV in India and ADR reporting system in India and abroad.

Students enthusiastically participated in various events like E – poster competition, Rangoli competition, Online Quiz, Jumble words competition, Word search competition and drama on theme: Patient safety, Pharmacovigilance, Medication error – detection and prevention.
